SUNDAY SUPPER SERIES

This summer we're excited to host a series of Sunday Supper collaborations here at Thistle Meats. This series was created as a way for Travis to collaborate with his chef friends to create incredibly menus and experiences for guests. Each Sunday Supper will begin at 6:30pm with an hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by a multi-course family-style meal. Each event will take place alongside the beautiful ivy covered brick wall in the backyard of Thistle Meats, adorned with globe string lights and festively decorated tables. Call the shop to reserve seats for the next event: 707-772-5442.

On September 10 we are excited to host the next event in our Sunday Supper collaboration series. Travis will be joined in the kitchen by friends and former colleagues, Chefs Kyle Michael and Christie Peters all the way from Saskatoon, Canada. The duo put Saskatoon on the dining map with the opening of their first restaurant, The Hollows, in 2011. Four years later, they opened Primal, an Italian restaurant where they create time honored Italian food and handmade pasta using Saskatchewan heritage grains and whole animal butchery.  Travis met Christie and Kyle when he was living in Vancouver, Canada. Christie staged at Boneta, where Travis was the chef de cuisine, and learned how to butcher and break down fish. They all quickly became friends and spent many nights hanging out and talking about food.  Travis is excited for the opportunity to host them at Thistle Meats and cook together again for this special dinner event. 

The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a reception featuring snacks from Thistle Meats and The Hollows, followed by a sit-down, family-style meal. This one-night only experience will be $95 per person (excluding beverages, tax, & gratuity). Available for purchase during reception and dinner, the Hot House Pop Up team will be preparing craft cocktails and Jennifer LaRose of Tricycle Wine Partners will be pouring four estate wines available by the glass or as a complete wine pairing. Tricycle is a family business of coopers, growers, and wine producers. This Sunday they will be featuring a Poseidon Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as an Obsidian Ridge Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The event will take place alongside the beautiful ivy covered brick wall in the backyard of Thistle Meats, adorned with globe string lights and festively decorated tables. PAST EVENTS

Thistle Meats Owner/Butcher/Chef Travis kicked off the series of dinners on June 11 with an incredibly talented duo, Rupert and Carrie Blease, of the Michelin starred restaurant, Lord Stanley. On August 20 we are excited to host the next event in our Sunday Supper collaboration series. Travis will be joined in the kitchen by friend, mentor, and Michelin-starred chef Jason Fox of Commonwealth in San Francisco. The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a reception featuring snacks from Thistle Meats and Commonwealth, followed by a sit-down, family-style meal featuring Liberty Duck. This one-night only experience will be $95 per person (excluding beverages, tax, & gratuity). Cocktails crafted from Hopscotch Oakland's bar program, a Raft Wine pairing, as well as a selection of beer will be available for purchase.
