SUNDAY SUPPER SERIES

This summer we're excited to host a series of Sunday Supper collaborations here at Thistle Meats. Each Sunday Supper will begin at 6:30pm with an hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by a multi-course family-style meal. Each event will take place alongside the beautiful ivy covered brick wall in the backyard of Thistle Meats, adorned with globe string lights and festively decorated tables. Call the shop to reserve seats for the next event: 707-772-5442.

On July 30 we are excited to host the next event in our Sunday Supper collaboration series. Travis will be joined in the kitchen by friend and Michelin-starred chef Brandon Jew of Mister Jiu’s in San Francisco. Although his restaurant has been open just over a year, Mister Jiu's has already received national recognition and was recently nominated by the James Beard Foundation for Best New Restaurant in the West.

For those who joined us last month for our first Sunday Supper, the format will be the same for each event. The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a reception featuring snacks from Thistle Meats and Mister Jiu’s, followed by a sit-down, family-style meal. The complete menu will be available to preview once Brandon returns from travels throughout China and will be listed on our website here. This one-night only experience will be $95 per person (excluding beverages, tax, & gratuity). Cocktails crafted from Hopscotch Oakland's bar program, as well as a selection of beer and wine will be available for purchase. Thistle Meats Owner/Butcher/Chef Travis kicked off the series of dinners on June 11 with an incredibly talented duo, Rupert and Carrie Blease, of the Michelin starred restaurant, Lord Stanley. We have a stellar group of collaborating chefs who will be joining us over the next few months, including chefs Brandon Jew (Mister Jiu's, SF), Jason Fox (Commonwealth, SF), Kyle Michael & Christie Peters (The Hollows, Canada), and more.
